R.C.C.Durga sponsored by Rotary Club of Karkala, an Informative talk was arranged on 29-09-2015 evening 6 P.M. Rtn.Shashidhar.K. Officer of revenue department of Karkala Taluk Office spoke on facilities offered by the government for the benefit of public in revenue section, Labour office, Agriculture office, etc.

Swach Karkala

Swachchta Abhiyan of Rotary Club of Karkala around Rotary Bala Bhavana Karkala on 27-09-2015 from 8-30 to 9-30 A.M.Rotarians,Rotary Anns, Rotaractors & Interactors participated actively in the program. Governor of R.I.Dist.3180 Rtn.Dr.Bharathesh also participated.

Karkala Rotary - 101

3 new members were inducted to Rotary Club of Karkala on 23-09-2015 to increase the number from 98 to 101.Chief guest was national Best Teacher award winner Rtn.PHF Ashok kumar Shetty of Brahmavara Rotary Club.He was also honoured by R.C.Karkala.

SINGLE PARENT SCHOLARSHIP

A meeting was arranged in Govt.P.U.College,Bajagoli regarding SINGLE PARENT SCHOLARSHIP for the benefit of poor students who lost their father & having BPL Card holder mother. An officer Mrs.Kapila from D.C.Office Udupi explained about the Scholarship.Rotary Club of Karkala & Interact club of Bajagoli Govt,P.U.College jointly arranged this function.

'Safe Child' program

'Safe Child' programme was launched in K.E.M.S.group of institutions by Rotary club of Karkala on 09-09-2015 for the benefit of Parents,Teachers & students .More than ,250 students,100 Parents & 50 teachers participated in the programme conducted by Rtn.Dr.Sathish Nayak,Dist.Vice Chairman of SAFE CHILD PROJECT of R.I.Dist.3180 who had conducted more than 60 such programmes in Dakshina Kannada & Udupi Districts.Block Education officer of Karkala Mr.Manmohan inaugurated the programme.

Teachers Day

On the occasion of Teachers Day celebration in Rotary Club of Karkala 3 teachers of Karkala were felicitated on 09-09-2015 .They are Mr.Vasantha .M,Headmaster of Govt.Hr.Pry.School,Tellar,Mr.Sridhara Suvarna,Headmaster of Sri Ramappa Aided Hr.Pry.School,Pulkeri,Karkala & Smt.Nirmala Ganapathi Bhat,Assistant Teacher of Srt Sundara Puranik Memorial Govt High School,Pervaje,Karkala.Mr.Manamohan,B.E.O of Karkala was the Chief Guest.

Karkala Rotary club President Rtn.Chandrashekar Hegde installed Itr.Sandeep as President & Kumara Vyasa as Secretary of Interact club of Shirlal Govt.
