50th Birthday of Club President, Rtn. Chandrashekhara Hegde was celebrated at Rotary Bala bhavana on 22nd July 2015. Family members of Mr. Chandrashekhara Hegde were present during the occasion, accompanied by district governor Dr. Bharathesh A. The program was organised by Rotaract club of Karkala and witnessed by rotaractors and rotarians.

RCC inauguration at Mala
Rotary Community Corp was inaugurated by DG Rtn.PHF Dr.Bharathesh at Gurukula aided Higher Primary School Mala, by lighting the lamp. He spoke on “Service Above Self” which is the motto of Rotary. Here the members of RCC can join hands with Rotary and serve the people of their village. Zonal co-ordinator Anil Kumar Rotary Club Nitte, gave useful information regarding the functioning of RCC and its duties towards the community. RCC honorary President Shantharam Chiplunkar spoke to his members as to how to get involved in RCC and serve the people.

Activities in the month of June 2015
13-05-2015:
Second issue of fortnightly Bulletin was released. District Secretary Elect Rtn. PHF Dr. Asha P. Hegde asked the cooperation of Rotary members of Karkala Club. Rtn. PHF Tukaram Nayak, Rtn. PHF S. R. Achar, Rtn. Shivananda, Rtn. PHF Ganesh Mallya, Rtn. PHF Hariprakash Shetty and Rtn. PHF Chandrashakar Hegde assured their support on behalf of all the Rotarians of Karkala Rotary Club. High Tea
was hosted by Rtn. Venugopal.

In a weekly meeting guest speaker Ex-Air Vice Marshal Ramesh Karnik spoke on the important
issues of India Military & action taken by Indian Government as well as border issues with neighbouring countries like China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka. High Tea was arranged by Rtn. PHF Imtiaz Ahamed.
23 & 24, May 2015:
17 members of our club participated in District Assembly in the leadership of President Elect Rtn. PHF Chandrashekar Hegde & President Rtn. PHF E. Janardahan. To & Fro journey was a nice experience. Rtn. PHF Dr. Bharathesh being the Governor Elect we enjoyed the events of District Assembly. About 180 Registrations for the next District Conference was done by Conference Chairman Rtn. PHF Prakash Achar & District Treasurer Elect Rtn. PHF Prabhath Kumar. Arrangements for the Training sessions were perfectly done by District Joint Secretary Elect Rtn. PHF Ananthakrishna Achar and District Sargeant Elect.
